    15th Annual National Gathering of Tribal Drinking Water and Wastewater Professionals 

and Tradeshow - July 14-16, 2010 

The Orleans

Las Vegas, Nevada

     This year's 15th Annual National Gathering of Tribal Drinking Water and Wastewater professionals has scheduled to be held at The Orleans in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 14-16, 2010.  Hotel reservations can be made by visiting the hotel reservation website at www.orleanscasino.com and use Reservation ID: 0NAWC07 or calling the hotel directly at (800) 675-3267. The group rates are $32.00 single or double occupancy. Government rates are also available. The Gathering will offer a broad variety of Tribal water and wastewater tribal utility speakers, water and wastewater industry sponsors and exhibitors, guest speakers and more.

     The 15th NAWA Annual National Gathering of Tribal Water and Wastewater professionals registration fees are $300.00 per-person.   Tradeshow exhibitor fees are $600.00 per exhibitor/Vendor space and one attendant. A fee of $200.00 for each additional attendant of the booth.

7:30 am-9:00 am Gathering Registration - Grand Ballroom A

All attendees report to the registration desk at this time for name badges and materials.

8:00 am-8:45 an Morning Coffee & Teas - Grand Ballroom A

Will be provided in the Exhibitor and Vendor area.

8:45 am Welcoming and Opening Prayer - Mr. Thomas Crawford, Founder and President, Native American Water Association, Minden, Nevada 

All attendees are to meet in the Grand Ballroom A for opening prayer. and welcoming remarks

All Day Exhibitors Tradeshow,  Grand Ballroom A

All attendees, meet and talk with Tradeshow representatives, find out what's new and exciting in our profession. 

9:15 am-11:00 am - Mr. Steve Fenton,  National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (PETE), South Portland, Maine -  Grand Ballroom A

Will be present a program regarding the new revised Disadvantaged Business Rule (DBE) and proper financial management of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency                                          grants. Question and answer period to follow presentation.                               

10:15 am-10:45 am     Morning Break and Prize Drawings

All refreshment located in Exhibitor and Vendor Area - Gathering room

11:00 am-12:00 pm     Grand Ballroom A  Tribal Operator Certification program update

                           Presentation regarding U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Tribal Operator Certification Program.  Questions and answer period following the presentation.

12:00 pm-1:30  pm Lunch Break

2:00 pm-3:00 pm   -   Grand Ballroom A

Will be presenting an overview of drinking water and wastewater programs.  Questions and answer period after presentation.

3:00 pm-3:30 pm      Afternoon Break and Prize Drawings

All refreshment located in Exhibitor and Vendor Tradeshow area.

3:30 pm-4:30 pm      Mr. Joseph Mark Chavarria, Director, Santa Clara Pueblo, Office of Environmental Affairs, Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico - Grand Ballroom A

           Mr. Chavarria will be present a program regarding Source Water Protection and a overview of their tribes Environmental Affairs program and the Tribal drinking water program.  Q&A period throughout.

6:00 pm-7:30 pm      NAWA, National Gathering Dinner Buffet – Grand Ballroom B

Come and join us for a wonderful dinner buffet, meet with new and visit with old friends. All attendees and exhibitors/vendors welcome.

Will be presenting an overview and information regarding the resources and programs the Center provides.  Question and answer period.

3:30 pm-4:30 pm    Mr. Darryl Rueben, Manager, Nez Perce Tribe, Public Works Department,  Lapwai, Idaho  

                   Mr. Rueben will be presenting  a overview of the Nez Perce tribes drinking water and wastewater facilities and projects.  Question and answer period throughout presentation.

1:30 pm-4:30 pm        Mr. Tom Crawford,  Native American Water Association -  Certification Testing -  Breakout Room

                         Mr. Crawford will be administering examinations for water and wastewater operators ( pre-registration required)

Tribal water and wastewater systems question and answer period. Conducting a presentation regarding drinking water and wastewater programs training needs and how they can get this training, obtain funds to upgrade their staffs. Question and answers throughout this presentation.

10:30 am-11:00 am Morning Break and Prize Drawings

All refreshment located in Main Gathering area

11:00 am-11:45 am   Mr. Tom Crawford,   Native American Water Association,  Tribal Training Needs Assessments continued  -  Grand Ballroom A
