    17th Annual National Gathering of Tribal Drinking Water and Wastewater Professionals and Tradeshow - July 17-19, 2012

     This year's 17th Annual National Gathering of Tribal Drinking Water and Wastewater professionals has scheduled to be held at the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa on July 17-19, 2012.  Hotel reservations can be made by calling 888 667-6646 and use Group ID: Native American Water Association. The group rates are $89.00 single or double occupancy, plus applicable taxes. A limited number of rooms have been blocked for this event so make your reservation now. The Gathering will offer a broad variety of Tribal water and wastewater tribal utility speakers, water and wastewater industry sponsors and exhibitors, guest speakers and more.

     The 17th Annual National Gathering of Tribal Water and Wastewater professionals registration fees are $400.00 per-person, early bird registration and $500.00 per-person at the door.          Tradeshow exhibitor fees are $600.00 per exhibitor/Vendor space and one attendant. A fee of $200.00 for each additional attendant of the booth.

  JULY 17, 2012                                                                                                                                                             

7:30 am-9:00 am        Gathering Registration - Grand Ballroom 

All attendees report to the registration desk at this time for name badges and materials.

8:00 am-8:30 am       Morning Continental Breakfast 

Will be provided in the Exhibitor and Vendor area.

8:30 am          Welcoming and Opening Prayer - Mr. Tom Crawford,  President, Native American Water Association, Minden, Nevada 

All attendees are to meet in the Grand Ballroom for opening prayer. and welcoming remarks

All Day Exhibitors Tradeshow,  Main Conference Room

All attendees, meet and talk with Tradeshow representatives, find out what's new and exciting in our profession. 

8:45 am-9:30 am     

                           Will present a overview of  their activities and programs.  Questions and answer period following the presentation.

9:30 am-10:00 am     Morning Break and Prize Drawings

All refreshment located in Exhibitor and Vendor Area - Gathering room

10:00 am-11:00 am     

Will be present a program overview of Tribal Operator Certification. Question and answer period to follow presentation.             

11:00 am - 12:00 pm    

                            Will be presenting a overview of the Tribes Rural Water program activities and future developments. 

12:00 pm-1:00  pm Lunch Break

                           On your own.

           

1:00 pm-3:00 pm    Mr. Steve Fenton, National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (National PETE) South Portland, Maine 

Will be presenting a program regarding the new revised Disadvantaged Business Rule (DBE) and proper financial management of US EPA Grants.  Questions and answer period after presentation.

3:00 pm-3:30 pm      Afternoon Break and Prize Drawings

All refreshment located in Exhibitor and Vendor Tradeshow area.

3:30 pm-4:30 pm     U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,  

                          Will present and provide information on regulatory issues affecting tribal drinking water and wastewater programs.  Question and Answer period after presentation.

6:00 pm-8:00 pm      NAWA, National Gathering Dinner Buffet 

Come and join us for a wonderful dinner buffet, meet with new and visit with old friends. All attendees and exhibitors/vendors welcome.

 

        

  JULY 18, 2012

                          Will be provided in the exhibitors tradeshow area.

8:00 am-4:30 pm      Exhibitor Tradeshow,   Main Gathering Area,  Open all Day

Exhibitor's and Vendors in Main Gathering area.  Open all day.

9:00 am-10:00 am    

                          Will deliver a presentation on the Drinking Water Project.  Question and Answer period.

10:15 am-10:45 am    Morning Break

All refreshment located in the Exhibitor and Vendor tradeshow area.

11:00 am-12:00 pm   US Indian Health Service

Indian Health Service will be presenting and update on their program activities and resources available to tribes. Question and answer period following their presentation.

12:00 pm-1:30 pm  Lunch Buffet – 

Luncheon Buffet.  Come and join  us!  Prize drawings during lunch

1:30 pm-2:30 pm       

Will be presenting an overview of the programs, resources and projects of their Utility Department.  Question and answer period throughout this program.. 

2:30 pm - 3:00 pm    Afternoon Break 

                         All refreshment located in Exhibitor and Vendor area.

3:15 pm-4:15 pm       US Environmental Protection Agency,

                   Will be presenting  a overview of the (UIC) Underground Injection Control Program.  Question and answer period.

1:30 pm-4:30 pm        Mr. Tom Crawford,  Native American Water Association -  Certification Testing -  Breakout Room

                         Mr. Crawford will be administering examinations for water and wastewater operators ( pre-registration required)

 

       

  JULY 19, 2012

Will be provided in the Main Gathering area.

Tribal water and wastewater systems question and answer period. Conducting a presentation regarding drinking water and wastewater programs training needs and how they can get this training, obtain funds to upgrade their staffs. Question and answers throughout this presentation.

10:30 am-11:00 am Morning Break and Prize Drawings

All refreshment located in Main Gathering area
